Industry Experts Their View Many people in the industry believe that only way in which Apple would really be able to challenge the success of the Kindle Fire would be to cut the price of older iPads to $200 $300 as it has been rumoured. In order to fight back it has been suggested that Amazon would be able to offer free shipping, free cloud storage and more promotions in order to entice customers to their product. It has also been suggested that Amazon could be able to offer deals that are exclusive on movies, TV shows, books and music that have been recently released.
This is due to the fact that the people who purchase an iPad or a Kindle Fire will do so for very specific reasons and this is why both devices remain popular. As neither product is vying for the same consumers it looks likely that both will continue to enjoy excellent sales figures even when the lower priced iPad is available to purchase.
